POST-16 Life @ BHS

Life as a Sixth Form student at Ballymoney High School is anything but dull. We offer an array of courses from Performing Arts, History, Art & Design and Psychology to Health & Social Care, individual Sciences, Business and Sport. On top of these academic studies, Sixth Form students have plenty of extra-curricular activities to choose from and enrichment periods; with many being heavily involved in Student Council, Restorative Practice team and Senior Prefect Duties. We try to get as much out of each day as possible. So, when not in class, we are making the most of study periods in our newly refurbished Sixth Form Study Centre and ensuring we are being the role models our Junior school deserve. In the last year we have set out to achieve and have accomplished so much. With every passing year and every new group of students, more new and exciting ventures will await. Encouraging independence, confidence and responsibility is high on the list of priorities and every opportunity to hone these is given. You will have the chance to take part in events such as the Rotary Club ‘Youth Leadership Competition’ and Student Youth Voice. As a Sixth Form student you will be pushed to achieve all that you are capable of and more. The possibilities are endless and with the right support and encouragement, you can do anything.
